about
Cover art by Jenny Glynn and Johnny K. Guy.
From the long-awaited concept album, "Eyes of Purgatory", split into 4 EPs, after 4 years, the first single from Eyes of Purgatory Vol. 1 finally comes to light.
The series is a tribute to musician, Back From Purgatory (aka "Purgy"), and a tale foreshadowing the tale of a woman named Kira, surviving when all hope is lost, all have abandoned her, and finds herself between life and death in Purgatory, facing the things that torment her.
Death Over Life; we can try to run from our problems all we want, but in the end, it's that which hurts us, that makes us stronger. A perfect world would leave us without identity and discovery, and we must fight for what we want to challenge ourselves, to know what we want most. One must die before they can truly live.

=LYRICS=
What a wicked sight,
stepping through the gates of encompassed night,
facing the tormented souls,
the night is young, chaos to unfold.
When I run every way,
I'm always lead astray,
to an endless void of fear,
is there a way out of here?
I'm dragging my weight
with this pain and hate,
how can I heal,
with everything I feel?
Breaking off the tides,
taking all the lies,
no matter how I've tried
but then I looked inside.
As long as we stand,
(and never cease)
we'll always be damned
(with this disease).
Stronger as we strive,
(through truth and lies)
this death over life
(we fall until we rise).
I've got a devil or three,
to hell with the "angels" that point at me!
Perfection is pointless, I see the cracks,
I left in the mirror when the pain looked back!
What a beautiful fright,
sorrow is an honest sight,
it reminds me I know how to feel,
I had to know that something's real.
I was hanging by a thread, wanting to die,
until I saw a reason to stay alive.
So I say (so I say)
please stay, (please stay)
and help me wake up another day.
As long as we stand,
(and never cease)
we'll always be damned
(with this disease).
Stronger as we strive,
(through truth and lies)
this death over life
(we fall until we rise).
